Coach Nancy learned to ski as an adult when she moved to Colorado. This gives her a unique perspective with her students, especially those who started skiing when they were adults. Nancy taught skiing for 10 years at Breckenridge before moving to the Roaring Fork Valley. She has taught at AspenSnowmass since 2013. She recently became a partner in the leadership of Bumps for Boomers.

Lisa Waldman is a PSIA Level 3 certified/kids’ accredited instructor who has been teaching for the Aspen Skiing company since 1988. She moved to town in 1986 directly out of college upon graduation from University of Florida. After taking a couple of ski vacations during high school, she knew she had found her passion and decided that skiing would be her future as soon as she received her degree. Little did she know, growing up on the tennis courts in Florida that she would make a career out of teaching skiing, but life has a funny way of evolving.
BUMPS FOR BOOMERS coach and founder Joe Nevin grew up as a Army brat and followed the typical pattern of moving from base to base. Joe was born in PA. then spent time living on Army bases in TX, LA and CA. He earned his undergraduate degree at USC and an M.S. in Management from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. We’re pretty sure he’s the only M.I.T. graduate who ‘grew up’ to be a ski instructor.
